Description Max Lorenz 2006-02-18 07:03:29 UTC
Greetings,
some small fixes for the hardened faq:
1. Small spelling mistakes (like Pax -> PaX)
2. Changed all occurences of grsecurity to lowercase as that seems to be the canonical way of writing it.
3. Added RSBAC to "Is it possible to use $ACL_THINGIES and PaX all at the same time?"
4. removed the libbitmap.a link cause the text isn't there anymore.
5. Added --oneshot to the 'emerge binutils gcc libc' steps, no need to clutter the world file.
6. Changed "check-textrel" to scanelf and added a note that portage checks for textrels now.
7. and added a blurb about 'gcc-config' to turn of PIE and SSP building etc.
I think that's about it.

Oh and the section "Can I use Grsecurity with a 2.6.8, 2.6.8.1, or 2.6.9 kernel?" should probybly be removed as no such kernel exists in portage anymore OTOH the link to the PaX team's stance on 2.6 kernels sould be preserved. But I'm feeling particularly uninspired today so I didn't do that.

Thanks, Max
