Description Cletus Lichte 2006-02-15 17:20:55 UTC
Here is a new version of the 3.x/4.x series of oniguruma. The differences between the series are this:

* 3.X.X/4.X.X supports UTF-16/UTF-32, Ruby 1.9.X.
* 2.X.X does not support UTF-16/UTF-32, supports Ruby 1.6/1.8.[2-4]

Only the 2.x is in the portage tree, and I think it's too old too. It would be nice to see this in the tree as it's being used by the Etoile project for GNUstep.

I've tested this ebuild on x86 only. It compiles and installs just fine for me. Thanks!

err. we don't have ruby 1.9 in portage, but i suppose what that means is that it supports everything up to ruby 1.9? i'll try this out unless any of the japanese devs beat me to it :)

thanks for the report. i actually just tested this with the sample code on their website and it works well. so i'm just adding this to portage as a bump.

thanks!
