Description René Fleschenberg 2006-02-13 16:16:04 UTC
The subscription function of my Mailman installation stopped working.

When I try to subscribe someone via the admin mass subscription function, simply nothing happens. When I try to subscribe any e-mail address via the usual part of the web interface (http://www.example.org/mailman/listinfo/mylist), Mailman tells me "You need to supply a valid e-mail address". There is no entry in any of the relevant logfiles (Mailman, Apache, Postfix) that could help me find the cause of this problem.

This problem occurs with both net-mail/mailman-2.1.5-r4 and net-mail/mailman-2.1.7. I did not notice the problem for some time, so I cannot tell what exactly triggered this.

Other relevant software I am running:
net-www/apache-2.0.55-r1
mail-mta/postfix-2.2.5
dev-lang/python-2.4.2

see for updates of /usr/local/mailman/Mailman/mm_cfg.py*

you say you didn't notice the problem for some time, does it still occur with latest versions?

Closing for now, re-open if it still is an issue.
