people like myself have a special talent for breaking Gentoo, would it be possible 
to setup a FEATURE flag for debug, that block everything that's harmful for 
debugging - so we can provide good feedback to our beloved developers?

man 5 make.conf

DEBUGBUILD

carpaski: i think that pretty much sums it up ... unless you feel something 
should be changed ...

This bug has been inactive for more than 300 days.

There's now a debug USE flag as well as DEBUGBUILD.

Resolving this bug as FIXED. Please reopen if you have something to add.

actually no one should use DEBUGBUILD :)
