hi all, i think i will need confirmation on this one... but after upgrading to QT 3.1.0, many apps in KDE seem to crash. eg, Konsole does not even work. (though logging in and running mozilla is fine.) after doing some googling, i have found a relevant linky: http://lists.trolltech.com/qt-interest/2002-11/thread01255-0.html seems to be a known issue. probably would be wise to mask the 3.1.0 upgrade for now... iirc it is quite recent. note that the affected binaries have not been recompiled against the new QT, but messages on that thread seem to indicate that the same results will be had. (i am working on testing this but am filing now to get comments... kde rebuild == see you next week!) cheers... mike
well, the only thing i know of is konsole crashing and that we fixed in kdebase-3.0.4-r3. if other apps are crashing, please report which apps and which error you get.
doh; konsole startup rc flooded me with segfaults. you're probably right that it is only konsole now. other qt using apps seem to run fine now after further inspection. thanks for the confirmation.
