Do you have IS32 emulation support compiled in your kernel? Please post the output of grep IA32 /usr/src/linux/.config
32 bit emulation is on. Here my grep IA32 /usr/src/linux/.config: CONFIG_IA32_EMULATION=y CONFIG_IA32_AOUT=y

please, stop asking for status reports. the bug has been reopened only 4 days ago. i'm sure somebody who has the knowledge will work on this, but it will take some time.
