ntl is compiled with the ``traditional'' option currently. its a better idea 
to use ntl's ``iso'' mode. this amounts to seperating things into namespaces.

Thanks for your suggestion!
Could you please suggest some specific modifications which should be made to the
ebuild? To me it looks like configure will need to get NTL_STD_CXX=on, however I
am not familiar with the package (for example, should NTL_GMP_LIP=on be dropped
then?). Actually submitting the diff (unified format please) against existing
ebuild would be the best ;). 
Aso, what is the default or most common way of installing/using this library?
