Description Chin Yee 2006-02-07 07:13:00 UTC
Upgraded to KDE 3.5.1. In kmail, when i go to compose a new message and go to 'Select...' to choose a recipient, I can no long select the contacts from my kaddress book. in the select drop down box i only have 4 options:

 - All
 - Distribution Lists
 - Recent Addresses
 - Selected Recipients

The standard contacts kresource, configurable in Control Center --> KDE Resources is no longer listed. However, when I type in email address directly in the To: field, the email addresses in my kaddress book is available for autocompletion.

Is a patch really necessary, it has been commited to KDE SVN. So if the gentoo
mirrors are updated won't it pull in the fix from there?

Maybe I misunderstand what the SVN is used for. Isn't it the current
KDE Tree? I looked for the fix and it is there in the KDE 3.5 version.

the patch is really needed, they commited the patch to the 3.5 branch wich means in the next release, 3.5.2, they will include this fix. Until there distros should apply this patch to the current tarballs.
Comment 8 Paulo Fidalgo 2006-02-28 17:37:23 UTC
why is this taking so long time to beeing updated?

We did not intend to mark KDE 3.5.1 stable anyways and simply waited for 3.5.2.
