What version of genkernel is this with?

Please try the ~arch versions and see if it resolves the issue for you.

Please post your *entire* genkernel.log as an attachment.
Comment 6 Tim Yamin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-08 06:23:15 UTC
You know, I think this is going to related with reiser4 again :P
Comment 7 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-08 06:33:02 UTC
Probably...

We should seriously block on sys-fs/reiser4progs (since we can't really block on the kernels) on genkernel. When will people understand that reiser4 DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY?

Jonas, feel free to REOPEN this if you can prove that it is *not* resier4 causing the uissue.
Comment 8 Jonas MG 2006-02-08 14:03:42 UTC
I've a new hard disk and i'm going to install gentoo with partitions ext3 only.

If it follows failling then I'll reopen this bug report.
Comment 9 Jonas MG 2006-02-25 17:39:53 UTC
Confirmed! It was a reiser4 bug

I was very busy for configuring my new system encrypted. It boots from secure digital USB memory where are the gpg keys. :)

And I have all partitions as ext3 in my main system, except /tmp and /var/tmp that are tmpfs
