Comment 1 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-07 01:01:48 UTC
Oh, just don't be so verbose... run opengl-update xorg-x11 and try again. If it doesn't work, then kindly at least include ebuild version and a couple more lines of output, instead of a single line, and reopen then.
Comment 2 Kim Højgaard-Hansen 2006-02-07 01:06:59 UTC
sorry, first time bug reporting...

opengl-update didn't work

full emerge output:

 * X11 implementation is .
opengl-update 2.2.1
Usage: opengl-update [<options>] <GL implementation>
       Set the opengl implementation.
       Valid options:
--use-old: If an implementation is already set, use that one.
--prefix=<val>: Set the source prefix (default: /usr)
--dst-prefix=<val>: Set the destination prefix (default: /usr)
--impl-headers: Use headers provided by this implementation to
override golbal ones provided by opengl-update.

Usage: opengl-update --get-implementation
       Print the current implementaion

Notes:
       --impl-headers was default in <opengl-update-2.2.

This utility switches between OpenGL implementations. There is
       1 available implementation: xorg-x11

Examples:
       opengl-update xorg-x11
This will setup things to use libGL.so from X.org.

       opengl-update nvidia
This will setup things to use libGL.so from the nVidia drivers.

make sure you have 'eselect-opengl' emerged and post the output of 'eselect opengl list'.
Comment 4 Kim Højgaard-Hansen 2006-02-27 23:47:35 UTC
seems like emerging new version of mesa fixed it... some other packages was included in that upgrade of modular Xorg, so it works for me now.

the output now is:

eselect opengl list
Available OpenGL implementations:
  [1] xorg-x11 *
