Description Vincent 2006-02-06 17:02:10 UTC
Hi

I'm trying to get wake on lan working on my computer, and it's working only when I shutdown it by button. If it's by the poweroff command, ACPI power seems to be really off and the network card doesn't receive power any more (no lights on).
The problem is very similar to these one
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.acpi.devel/16212
and
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.acpi.devel/16344

I tried to fix it by these patches, it's still there...

I'm running on gentoo-sources 2.6.15-r1

that's it

you misfiled the heck out of this bug.

1) assigned to should not be hardened.
2) component should not be hardened or baselayout.
3) you dont need to add yourself to the CC: list when you are the bug reporter.

You got the product and year right however :)

Vincent in the future if you are going to file a bug directly for a given group
please check the xml file first located at $PORTDIR/$CATEGORY/$PN/metadata.xml

Reassigning bug to our kernel@ team as this bug lists gentoo-sources and that is
who gentoo-sources is maintained by.
Comment 2 Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-10 09:08:09 UTC
Please reproduce this on the latest development kernel (currently 2.6.16-rc2)
Comment 3 Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-28 07:53:27 UTC
Please reopen when you have tested the latest development kernel.
