It is difficult to find references for rp-pppoe on the rp homepage as stated in the current rp-pppoe ebuilds. I therefore suggest to use a more specific URL as the homepage: http://www.roaringpenguin.com/pppoe/ On this page I also found out that there is a new version, 3.7, available. It would be nice to have this on Gentoo as well. Because the patches probably need a closer look, I did not try this in my overlay---yet.
OK, I just had a look at the patches. rp-pppoe-3.6-plugin-options.patch does not apply, because the line was changed to something different from 3.6 both original and patched. I'm not too sure why this patch was necessary in the first place. The others work fine. I will attach an ebuild and a single patch file, but I dont have ADSL yet, so someone else should probably give this a try.

I also renamed adsl to pppoe in the changes from the gentoo-netscripts patch, as this seems to be the name currently used.
bad idea to merge unrelated patches into one! beside that, the new version is now in the tree.
