The file /usr/share/term/info/nxterm is missing. cdimage root # ls -l /usr/share/terminfo/x total 0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 Sep 14 17:24 xterm -> xterm-color lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 Sep 14 17:24 xterm-color -> ../n/nxterm cdimage root # ls -l /usr/share/term/info/n ls: /usr/share/term/info/n: No such file or directory
In the previous message, the path "/usr/share/term/info/nxterm" should be "/usr/share/terminfo/n/nxterm". To see the problem, boot the install cd and there is no "n" subdirectory in "/usr/share/terminfo".
What ISO are you using, for reference?
Unfortunately I did not keep a copy of the ISO file, but I believe the ISO file with the problem is this one: http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo/releases/1.4_rc1/x86/livecd-basic-1.4_rc1-r2.iso
I have confirmed this fixed on our latest "experimental" livecds, which can be found at http://www.gentoo.org/dyn/experimental/livecd/. I am closing this bug. Thank you for reporting it :)
Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this.
