Comments regarding the new install instructions have died to nil so I am
submitting as is and moving on to my next project.  I hope they serve the Gentoo
community well.

Do me a favor, if you would, and instead of attaching the entire xml file,
just attach a patch?  That will make my editing a bit simpler.  Thanks!

OK, some of this has been integrated into the current document.
