This problem report is about the ebuild for mail-mta/nullmailer-1.02.
The same problems occurred with the earlier ebuild for
mail-mta/nullmailer-1.00.

Problem #1:

When the "mailwrapper" USE flag is on, the ebuild moves nullmailer's
/usr/bin/mailq to /usr/bin/mailq.nullmailer.  Later, it sets the
ownerships and permissions on the (now nonexistent) /usr/bin/mailq.
This fails with these two error messages (my portage tmp directory is
/extra/var/tmp):

  chown: cannot access `/extra/var/tmp/portage/nullmailer-1.02/image//usr/bin/mailq': No such file or directory
  chmod: cannot access `/extra/var/tmp/portage/nullmailer-1.02/image//usr/bin/mailq': No such file or directory

Because of this, the ownership and permissions are not set correctly
on /usr/bin/mailq.nullmailer and the mailq command fails with this
error message:

  Cannot change directory to queue.

This problem seems to have arisen due to a somewhat botched fix to bug
95292.

Problem #2:

The ebuild prints this message:

  Please ensure you have selected nullmailer in your /etc/mailer.conf

This file no longer exists.  The correct file name is
/etc/mail/mailer.conf.

Problem #3: 

The ebuild does not fix any running copy of the nullmailer-send
daemon.  I suggest that it either execute the command

  svc-restart nullmailer

or remind the user to do so.
