Okay, I have this running on two x86 systems without any problems. So it may become stable now.
As lipstik 2.2 is out and it is a sanity release, it's probably the better candidate for becoming stable. See http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122157
2.2 is stable on amd64.
