Comment out the dbus-patch and the ebuild for 0.9.2 works nice.
A bugfix release was just released, here (http://mail.gnome.org/archives/rhythmbox-devel/2006-February/msg00021.html) the announce.
This crashes everytime for me with a gstreamer related error. I need to talk with upstream and resolve this issue before adding it to the tree
I got it working w/overlay (amd64). Didn't do any patches (9.2's ebuild had some but I just took that out) and it compiled cleanly. It's pretty stable so far. FWIW, I'd love to see an ~amd64 release, since (a) it works, and (b) I think amd64 is still stuck with version 0.8.8-r1! My issue turned out to be a bug in the gstreamer id3 demuxer when it encounters a corrupt file. I've added rhythmbox-0.9.3.1 and 0.9.3.1_p1 to the tree. The _p1 version has a gstreamer-010 useflag that will build rb with gstreamer-0.10 support. I couldn't add it to the ~arch version since gst-0.10 is still p.masked so you will have to unmask that version of rhythmbox as well. I filed a keywording bug for amd64 when I put 0.9.2 into the tree and somebody from the amd64 team said it didn't work for them. I don't have an amd64 machine so at this point I would recomend testing the new version and filing a keywording bug with the amd64 team.
