I did a fresh emerge (never installed before) of 2.0.0.4 and I'm having the same problem.

2.0.0.4 is the latest version available upstream, if it's expired, complain to Nero.

Actually if you go to nero's site, it says that 2.0.0.4 isn't a demo version, and a new one will come out shortly.  I believe it expired 1/31.
