defaulting to local storage area
/usr/bin/git-clone: line 26: curl: command not found
Cannot get remote repository information.
Perhaps git-update-server-info needs to be run there?

Merging net-misc/curl fixes this problem.

curl is a conditional dependency what git version are you using ?

That should fix it. Thanks for reporting. I mark it as UPSTREAM now they've got the patch.
