KickPIM is a panel applet for quickly editing and accessing the KDE addressbook or sending emails to your contacts. It shows also a list of upcoming birthdays. i don't know if this compiles against kde 2.2 and/or gcc3.2 i haven't tried it out. i have gcc 2.95.3 and kde 3.0.4 and 3.1rc5 installed on my workstations. therefore there is a "need-kde 3.0" in the ebuild. i hope this helps. i really could need it... regards johannes findeisen

I installed the ebuild but can
I installed the ebuild but can´t start the program. Did I miss something? Which one is the executable?
After the kicker-panel was restarted, you should have a new entry in the Panel-Menu (e.g. right-click on the KDE-Sign that normally brings up the application-menu). Then under "Add-Applet" select "KickPIM". This will add a new element to the kicker that provides the KickPIM-Functionality.
I have now added an ebuild for the Version 0.5.3 for ~x86. Please test on ppc and tell me if I can add ~ppp for the new Version also.
