When clicking a link from inside certain feeds, and loading the page in the background, it can sometimes crash Akregator. An example is the digg feed - clicking the "Complete Story" link will crash Akregator as soon as the page has completed loading in the new tab (this is going to the digg.com site). However, the Slashdot feed does not crash it when visiting slashdot.org from within Akregator. This bug is reproducable every time. Same problem with KDE 3.5.1 If so, point me to "digg" please so I can try to reproduce.
This is the feed url for "digg". http://www.digg.com/rss/index.xml I tried here by loading the "Complete Story" link in an akregator tab but nothing crashed. My setup is to open story urls in konqueror no matter how they are clicked (left or middle), so I had to right click to achieve this. I am getting an random kontact crash in the last week though that is most likely akregator but is not related to clicking on anything, it just happens on it's own.
As I said in another bug, have you tried testing it with fresh config files. I usually try that to see if it fixes any problems. It fixed a problem for me just a moment ago with kopete. To not loose your current configs. Either create a temporary new user, log into KDE and bring up akregator or move your .kde* files aside and login again. KDE will then create new config files for you.
Should also note, I've never had this problem with either 3.5 or 3.5.1
O.k. tried it using KDE 3.5.2 and can't reproduce it with this version. Anyone still having experiencing crashes?
Assuming the issue has been fixed.
