Description John N. Laliberte (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-28 07:59:59 UTC
this is a reminder bug to stable this asap ( pango issues with text display )

30 days will be Feb 16th, so add archs at that time if there are no bugs in bugzilla.
Comment 1 David Grant 2006-02-19 20:26:41 UTC
The older version should be marked unstable. It is totally unusable. This one works fine.
Comment 2 Frederik 'Freso' S. Olesen 2006-04-22 04:55:46 UTC
More than thirty days have come and gone. What is the current status of this bug?
Comment 3 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-22 06:39:42 UTC
I don't think this should be part of the gnome herd.
Comment 4 Matthias Langer 2006-04-23 19:43:57 UTC
i've done some basic testing with gphpedit-0.9.80 on x86. at the first glance everthing seems to be ok. but then i found a reliable way to make gphpedit 'quit unexpectedly': just open lot's of files (> 15), close and restart the program.

I can confirm this crash on x86 stable. The bug, surprisingly, didn't seem to be in upstream's tracker:

compnerd: please advise on how to handle this, the new version seems to be buggy.
Comment 8 Saleem Abdulrasool (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-01 20:09:40 UTC
Dropping stable request until this bug is fixed.
Comment 9 Saleem Abdulrasool (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-04 11:59:51 UTC
@Matthias: That would be very useful. Can you please do that?
Comment 10 Andy Jeffries 2006-07-05 07:43:48 UTC
I've released a new version (on www.gphpedit.org/download/). It didn't crash on Gentoo for me, please can you test this latest version on your machine and if it's all OK please included this version instead.

Cheers,

Andy

Added gphpedit-0.9.91 to portage. Closing this bug as 0.9.80 will not be going into stable, we will wait the standard 30 days for 0.9.91 to be put into stable.

@Andy: I have opened a bug for adding a patch for a crasher (bug #166) at gphpedit.org. I have included the patch with the ebuild in Gentoo.
