Because of this (read summary) libsdl would not compile correctly, and mplayer 
would only play things rendered in software. I'm not totally sure what xv 
does, but you should know what xv is. :-P

Anyway; add it, since it actually is a USE-flag. :-)

enabled "xv" by default in 1.8.9 series Portage.
