please move these files to the mirrors instead of placing them in the tree:

8.0K	./sys-kernel/gentoo-sources/files/Changelog-2.4.bz2

if you want me to do it, just say so, i'll happily commit the change

Won't it just get automatically purged from the mirrors since no ebuilds use it?

tbh i didn't check whether the file is used by any ebuild, i just wrote a script which lists all binary files in the tree. if it's not used, there's no reason to keep it, so why don't just remove it?

Well, with that argument you would delete every ChangeLog and metadata.xml file since no ebuilds use them ;)

But yeah, there's probably not much point keeping this around (it is archived in CVS history anyway). Tim?
