When I upgraded from xpdf-3.01-r3 to xpdf-3.01-r5, the option psImageableArea for pdftops stopped working. Downgraded to xpdf-3.01-r3 and now it's working again. the utilities are now provided by poppler. Can you please try with the latest ~arch poppler+xpdf version and report upstream to the poppler developers if it does not work?
I have now tested with both poppler-0.4.4 and poppler-0.5.0, with the same result.
I do not know where exactly this is or how to fix it, can you please creae an upstream bug and post the reference here? Or help me to find it in the code and what it should do :) Best is of course to provide a patch yourself.
I created an upstream bug report: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5749 Not much action there yet, so I may need to fix this..
will flow back into gentoo the release after the fix. You can also use the #poppler irc channel. krh hangs around there sometimes.
