Gaim-Rhythmbox 1.5.0.1 was released September 12, 2005. can we have an update in portage? http://gaim-rhythmbox.sourceforge.net/
I'll add that the actual version in portage always made my gaim freezee. Please consider updating the tree.
Ok, we are heading to gaim-2 by now and there is a gaim-rhythmbox already available. I made an ebuild and a patch, but I need to report a bug before submitting this here.
Created attachment 94151 [details] gaim-rhythmbox-2.0_beta2.ebuild Ebuild for latest gaim-rhythmbox. Compile against gaim-2 and should solve some long standing bugs. Please review and add it to the tree alongside other packages for gaim2 (pmasked)
BTW, there is a 2.0beta3 version of Gaim-Rhythmbox now that contains an option to disable the lyrics link creation. This has been well-tested with Gaim 2.0beta3 and Rhythmbox 0.9.5. Also, the homepage/download location has changed and SVN is now hosted at Google code. http://jon.oberheide.org/projects/gaim-rhythmbox/
Also, the 2.x Gaim-Rhythmbox series should only be used with the 0.9.x series of Rhythmbox...that dep should be updated in the ebuild.
Created attachment 99587 [details] gaim-rhythmbox-2.0_beta3.ebuild gaim-rhythmbox-2.0_beta.ebuild added. The configure script is looking for dbus, so I added it as a dependency. I'm not sure if this is correct, it might only be required to be a use flag. I also set a minimum version for rhythmbox to be >=0.9. It was tested on an amd64 system and seems to work with gaim-2.0.0_beta3-r2.
Yes, that's correct, dbus should be a required dependency as it's used to retrieve the song information from rhythmbox.
Okay, sorry for the delay, 1.5.0 and 2.0.0beta5 are added
