i dont really track samba so the answer may be obvious, but any reason we still have 3.0.14* in stable ?
Reasons for 3.0.14* still the only stable release: mostly a couple (of dozens) of bugs mainly on winbind and stability. Few of them were already present in 3.0.14*, while others were added in the 3.0.20 releases. While the only candidate for stability could be 3.0.20b, which has been rather untouched for 2 months at now, some serious production instabilities has been really resolved with 3.0.21b (yesterday). I'd prefer to mark 3.0.20b stable while 3.0.21b is in portage: in a couple of days I hope to commit the ebuild.
bug #124632 is open for the stabilization request of samba-3.0.21b
