Hi, I upgraded my gcc to 3.4.4 and so I had to re-emerge everything. I had 13 packages out of 2518 that fail emerging, sampeg3 is one of them... so I primary suspect a gcc-3.4.4 compatibility problem. But it could also be a libvideogfx version problem (or even something else). # emerge media-video/sampeg3 >>> emerge (1 of 1) media-video/sampeg3-0.0.3 to / >>> md5 files ;-) sampeg3-0.0.3.ebuild >>> md5 files ;-) files/digest-sampeg3-0.0.3 >>> md5 src_uri ;-) sampeg3-0.0.3.tar.gz >>> Unpacking source... >>> Unpacking sampeg3-0.0.3.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/sampeg3-0.0.3/work >>> Source unpacked. configure: WARNING: If you wanted to set the --build type, don't use --host. This should just go bye bye, homepage dead, hasn't seen a release for years, not ready for modular X, doesn't compile, nothing depends on it...
Jakub, you really want to make people scream at me as I always remove packages, tell me the truth :|
(In reply to comment #3) > Jakub, you really want to make people scream at me as I always remove packages, > tell me the truth :| You can also fix it instead... :P /me runs
/me sobs miserably
Could it come from Bug #69389 (libvideogfx not compilable)?
(In reply to comment #6) > Could it come from Bug #69389 (libvideogfx not compilable)? No... you need to have libvideogfx already compiled so that you could try to compile sampeg3, it depends on it. Anyway, since nothing except sampeg3 depends on libvideogfx, we can punt that one as well. /me runs even faster :P
Video herd: are you gonna remove this? I can do it if no-one cba, but it's hardly difficult.
