Cisco is currently distributing a newer version of the cisco-vpnclient-3des (4.8.00.0490) than portage has an ebuild for. I just compiled the new version using a copy of 4.7.00.0640 in my portdir_overlay and it works fine. Please copy the file to create the new ebuild. Note that my installation did not require the patch..
