as of version 0.12.0, ruby-gnomecanvas2 is completely unusable. This can be tested by attempting to run app-misc/alexandria or by running the following command in a shell.

ruby -e 'require "gnomecanvas2"'

what about 0.14.1 , which is now x86 stable?

Seems to work with 0.14.1.
