Description Georg Sauthoff 2002-12-12 16:09:09 UTC
Hi,

openoffice-1.0.1_r3 fails to merge because of some errors (including sandbox
violations).

Before emerging I have set LANGUAGE=GERM.

Here is the console output:
zip -j -5 "../unxlngi4.pro/01/normal/f_0377"
"/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.0.1-r3/work/oo_1.0.1_src/solver/641/unxlngi4.pro/bin/gnomeint"

what version of portage you using? those files are portage files....
Comment 2 Georg Sauthoff 2002-12-13 01:21:09 UTC
I was using portage 2.0.45_r1. Now I try 2.0.45_r3.
Comment 3 Georg Sauthoff 2002-12-13 10:05:48 UTC
Now the sandbox violations are gone, but the other errors stay:

So perhaps the ebuild has problems with the LANGUAGE Setting?
Comment 4 C Pulsifer 2002-12-13 10:15:02 UTC
Upgrading to 2.0.45_r3 solved the Sandbox violations for me as well, but I am
getting similar LANGUAGE related errors.
Comment 5 Seth Chandler 2002-12-16 16:46:05 UTC
could you tell me what your language settings were please? i will try and
replicate the errors, so i can fix em up ;-)

i'm a us developer, so typically i don't have language problems with programs
like this. thanks for your help

Comment 6 Georg Sauthoff 2002-12-16 16:58:36 UTC
My language setting was LANGUAGE=GERM.

Without the LANGUAGE variable set (=english) openoffice build successfull.

But one thing, with this build version the oo math editor doesn't show
mathematical symbols like "+" or "=".
Is this perhaps an font problem? Does the math editor works for you?
With oo 1.0.1 bin the math editor worked fine.

Should I open a new bug for this?
Comment 7 Seth Chandler 2002-12-18 01:23:54 UTC
i believe your last comment falls under the already opened bug about opensymbol
fonts not being displayed right
i'm working on figuring out how redhat fixed this

you can go ahead and submit another bug with full details though, so i know
exactly what the problem for you...(if you wouldn't mind)

thanks =)
Comment 8 Georg Sauthoff 2002-12-19 15:18:51 UTC
Yes, I think my font bug is the bug reported at #9813. I attached a description
to this bug.
Comment 9 Seth Chandler 2003-01-04 22:38:54 UTC
I'm resolving this as fixed, b/c we shouldnt' be seeing anymore sandbox
violations =)
