Description Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-25 13:46:49 UTC
As stated in bug #120340, it looks like we might have a working elilo for x86. At any rate, I'd love to see this added to the tree if it works on IA64. I'm attaching the ebuild shortly.

elilo-3.6.ebuild

This required me to copy elilo-3.4 elilo.8-3.4 and eliloalt.8-3.4 to 3.6 counterparts. Yeah, the ebuild could probably just be updated, but I was mostly doing this as a proof to see if ti would work and was surprised to find that it did. Again, this hasn't been actually tested on a new Mac, but it does build successfully on my ~x86 laptop and was able to execute, but I couldn't go too far without actually having an EFI-enabled machine.

elilo-3.6 is in the tree, it's up to x86 to add their keywords
Comment 4 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-13 22:14:19 UTC
I don't think anyone on the x86 team has the hardware to test this right now.
Comment 5 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-26 11:00:10 UTC
I'm going to mark this as LATER, since no one seems to have this hardware yet, so we can't really test it. No sense in just having it sit here :/
