Starting a second X session with:

  startx -- :1

results in a broken display for the second X session. Switching back to the
first session and returning to the second seems to solve the problem.

this does happen for me too but since (1) we know of a quick fix for it and (2) it really 
looks more like an nvidia problem than something we can fix, i'm gonna close this bug 
and suggest nvidia be informed of said problem ... 
 
unless of course we can verify that this *only* happens on Gentoo ... 
i dont want to seem like i'm taking the position of 'too bad its not our problem', but 
there really is nothing we can do about it :/
