libwrap.so is needed by some software (e.g.: gnustepweb, which i currently use) it is a showstopper if (some) developers have to manually tweak the ebuild (and the makefile) to get this important lib.
You don't happend to have a patch for tcp-wrappers Makefile to create libwrap.so laying around?
no reasonable one, but debian has! we may look at their diff... et voila, we should have a makefile for libwrap.so i could do that, if you really wants me to.
A fresh day and a fresh start solved the problems I had with the compilation of the debian patch. New revision (r5) of tcp-wrappers has been commited with ~ markings. Please test.
I've masked -r5 in packages.mask becuse the .so files breaks things. I'll see if something can be done about it.
This should be fixed in tcp-wrappers-7.6-r6. If not, please reopen this bug.
