Please add it to portage!
This should be added to portage ASAP as the gpio module compiles. It didn't in previous versions due to name changes in the internal bttv code of the kernel

I can confirm that LIRC_OPTS="--with-driver=leadtek_0010" emerge lirc Works. This builds the lirc_gpio module which failed in the pre releases due to changes in bttv part of the kernel. That means for anyone using a newer kernel eg 2.6.15 or later lirc-0.8.0 is a must
Shouldn't this should be in portage by now. What's holding it back?
commited.
