As a followup to bug 11634, the glib changes are fine. However, shortly after I filed that bug, newer versions of libgsf were added to portage. Gnumeric-1.1.8 needs a compile-time (only) dependency on libgsf-1.3* On the other hand, there's a Gnumeric-1.1.12 available on the GNOME FTP servers (SRC_URI="ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/${PN}/1.1/${P}.tar.bz2") This version is compatible with the current libgsf. I also spotted a new (well... October 6th) stable version while checking out the FTP server - gnumeric-1.0.10 My apologies for another multi-issue bug report. Complain at me again and I'll be sure to break 'em up in the future.
i'm complaining. File me a diff on 1.0.9 and i'll update it. I made 1.1.8 dep on =libgsf-1.3.0 already and i have locally 1.1.12 ready, but i haven't checked all it's deps yet.
Portage seems to be ignoring the libgsf dep. Not terribly sure why, but w/o libgsf-1.3, an emerge -u gnumeric isn't trying to downgrade the libgsf. (An =specificversion also allows -rXX, eh?)
a masked development version doesn't have much priority to me.. it will be removed soon anyway.
