Since rxvt-2.7.10-r2.ebuild and rxvt-2.7.10-r3.ebuild there is HOMEPAGE="http://www.rxvt.org/ http://www.giga.it.okayama-u.ac.jp/~ishihara/opensource/" I've never seen such before. Is there a reason (like licensing issues) for listing a second homepage? The ishihara page seems to provide the xim patch and nothing else? Perhaps I'm missing something because I can only read latin.
As a free bonus for those who can't read Japanese... :P
I need to reopen this. Please only list http://rxvt.sourceforge.net/ Please do not direct traffic to the rxvt org site, it's bogus (grabber/spammer/SEO) since 2003.
We are not here to play arbiters among people. I don't see what's "bogus" about listing rxvt.org as homepage when rxvt.org is mentioned all over the source code.
Will you just look at that rxvt org page, please? If it's not obvious: the page is reduced to a skeleton, and only advertising the links at the bottom. If you got this wrong, I don't have any agenda here. List any set of pages you want, just not that *high-jacked* one. Also if it carries any weight, I'm the current maintainer of RXVT.
(In reply to comment #4) > Also if it carries any weight, I'm the current maintainer of RXVT. Really? Maybe you'd like to fix your 'non-SEO' homepage then? Sorry, we are not playing these games.
Please recheck this issue, no need to get personal here. I am the maintainer, yes. I'm in the rxvt project since 2000. Take a look at the fake rxvt org site, then check SF (maybe see homepage listing there or something). This is a legit and polite request. If you are left with doubt, state the precise problem. Also if you think this is some kind of game, perhaps you can bring in some other gentoo developers to resolve this.
Yeah, the maintainer of rxvt is CCed. Meanwhile, take your SEO issue out of bugzilla please, as already said once, we are not going to play arbiters if you dislike some webpage that's listed all over the source code.
usata appears to be inactive, so I've jumped in and updated the homepage URL. Thanks for letting us know. I left the .jp one in place as we also apply a patch from that URL in the ebuild, so it seems relavent to list the homepage of the patch too. usata, I hope you don't mind me taking care of this one in your absence.
