When browsing http://freshmeat.net i noticed that a new xine-lib was available: xine-lib 1 beta0 the changes, as copy-pasted from xine.sf.net (http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=127428) : Release Name: 1-beta0 Notes: This is the first "beta" release of xine-lib 1. 1-beta0 comes with quite a few bugfixes. Most importantly, it shouldn't require any automake or autoconf installation, which caused lots of trouble for some people trying 1-alpha3. As usual, bug reports to <xine-user@lists.sf.net> are welcome. However, please make sure that you don't report anything that can already be found in our TODO file, right in the top directory of the release tarball! You should also be aware, that the xine engine has entered a state of "feature chill", ie. developers are now focussing on bug fixes, and new features should only be added in the form of new plugins. Changes: * fix decoder priority configuration * cache available plugins for faster xine loading * metronom's improvements for streams with slightly wrong sample rates * fix case were XV driver would segfault (YUY2) * first xine post effect plugin * new version of internal libdvdread fixing some DVD problems * longstanding dxr3 bug fixed: for some still menus the highlight did not move * asf demuxer fixes * fb video output plugin ported to new architecture * MPEG-4 file (*.mp4) support * closed caption support ported to new architecture
I added the ebuild for beta0 to the CVS. Please test. Thanks for the report.
