This mod is a descendat of mod_auth_mysql and uses a MySQL phpBB database for authentication. It seems that the homepage of the mod is down. I have written to the author with the request of getting the newest source as soon as it exists. This way I will be able to provide new versions of the mod. This mod needs Apache2 on your system!

phpBB is package.masked in Gentoo for perpetual security issues. Relying on any of its components for authentication purposes is an extremely bad idea...

Keep it in your overlay if you wish, but this is definitely WONTFIX. Sorry.
