Description Stanislav Brabec 2002-12-11 06:37:30 UTC
Following packages are open source, but Gentoo includes only its binary versions:

netscape-plugger
(probably can be also renamed - it perfectly works also with mozilla.)

For more see http://www.hubbe.net/~hubbe/plugger.html

You can also see at SuSE plugger package for compilation:
ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/i386/8.1/suse/src/plugger-4.0-210.src.rpm

phoenix
True, source is only on CVS, but it is.

plugger-4.0-mozilla.patch

Mozilla'fication of plugger (no need for Netscae SDK). Needs npunix.c from
mozilla sources.

hrm, i think this is just too much trouble to set up...

we'd have to depend on a number of different versions of the mozilla source code, which just isnt a good idea...

i like the patch and all, its quality work...problem is the npunix.c file...we have no way of knowing what version of mozilla to depend on for it...

i'm marking this resolved:later

by all means reopen if you have any ideas on how to handle that c file
Comment 3 Stanislav Brabec 2003-04-21 15:53:29 UTC
npunix.c interface should be version independent - plugin interface is stable and shouldn't change in future.
