Description Josh Goebel 2002-12-11 06:27:52 UTC
mknbi ebuild does not exist in portage. This is a utility for making tagged
kernel images useful for netbooting.

Comment 2 Martin Holzer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-12-11 15:13:47 UTC
there are three more ebuild missing from the whole project on sf.
etherboot 5.0.8
etherboot-doc 5.0.7
do you mean 1.2-9 with your -r9 ebuild ?
if so, a new version is available mknbi 1.2-10
rom-o-matic 5.0.7
Comment 3 Josh Goebel 2002-12-11 23:06:45 UTC
Yes, I was referring to the 1.2-9 release, but I didn't know how to name it, so
I went with -r9, perhaps .9 would have been better. This was the only component
of the whole group I really had a need for, hench I created the ebuild. I just
thought that someone else might find it useful. I'd be happy to bring it
current with -10, but I don't have time to create ebuilds for the rest of the
suite at this point.

use instead of
SRC_URI="http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/etherboot/${SRC_FILE}
"
this one :)
SRC_URI="mirror://sourceforge/etherboot/......
Comment 5 Martin Holzer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-12-13 09:21:18 UTC
this causes major problems due to timings on many systems
cat Makefile | sed s/"\/usr\/local"/"\/usr"/ > Makefile

so use as follown (only a sample)

        mv Makefile Makefile.org
        cat Makefile.org | sed s/"\/usr\/local"/"\/usr"/ > Makefile
Comment 6 Martin Holzer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-12-13 11:10:19 UTC
