It seems the problem is with libdv, running Cinelerra in debugger outputs something with libdv.so and playdv cannot play dv-files.
see libdv issue, remove the pic/gcc4 patch and it will work
(In reply to comment #4) > see libdv issue, remove the pic/gcc4 patch and it will work Yet another problem... skinkie@nemesis ~ $ playdv /tmp/midvliettv2006.02.19_07-13-48.dv format 4:3 Audio is 32.0 kHz, 12 bits quantization, 2 channels, emphasis off Xv: NV10 Video Overlay: ports 89 - 89 Xv: grabbed port 89 Using Xv for display Processed 11 frames in 00.21 seconds (51.30 fps) *** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x0805c8d8 *** Aborted
I've tried to put ">media-libs/libdv-0.104" into /etc/portage/package.mask and for now all works. The problem is libdv-0.104-r1
Could you please try the latest version and report back if the problem still exists? I use libdv-0.104-r1 here without any problems. Thanks, Marc.
I just had the same problem after the new cinelerra cvs forced me to move to the ~x86 version of libdv. libdv-0.104-r1 dont work for me, cinelerra crashes immediately. with libdv-0.104 everything is fine.
I have the very same problem here with both 20060219 and the new 20060619 versions with libdv-0.104-r1. Cinelerra crashes on my DV files as well as on the bars_100.avi file from http://cvs.cinelerra.org/footage/ libdv packages older than libdv-0.104-r1 can no longer be emerged on ~x86 due to bug 140647 but removing pic and gcc4 patch from libdv ebuild works.
Hmmm this bug seems old, can you reproduce it with cinelerra-cvs 2.1 ( 20061020 ) and libdv 1.0.0-r1 ? iirc I had forced the deps to at least libdv 1.0.0 because of this bug.
No, the bug disappeared several moths ago. I don't exactly remember how, but now cinelerra opens the dv files withouany problems on both my ~x86 machine and the (x86+several keywords) one. I believe this bug can be closed safely.
Thanks ;) Probably a consequence of bug #121871
