Reopen with actually error messages and full name and version of the ebuild that doesn't work for you.

the exact ebuild causeing problems was, [ebuild  N    ] gnome-base/libglade-2.5.1  -debug +doc 0kb 



useing emerge -av --oneshot --nodeps cairo pango gtk+ seems to have worked fine, bypassing the loop that was occuring

What kind of loop? Please, post all relevant information here instead of referring to external links.
