it's fine on my amd64... probably it's related to gnome 2.13 unstable libs. Try to debug and report the problem to upstream. If you have the same problem running with gnome 2.12 from Gentoo please let us know... reopen the bug.
I tried on my stable AMD64 notebook, it starts. I submitted because unsure, I hope GNOME 2.13.90 (when out) come soon into the tree, so we can test it as well ;)
