Bug 119237 – nautilus only opens remote (smb) audio file with totem

hi, i've recompiled BMP (Beep Media Player) with gnome-vfs enabled;
on local files i can set BMP as main audio player, but with remote ones this association is ignored by totem, and it starts to play audio file

from BMP i can play the remote file, the problem is only with nautilus association

is this a gentoo bug or a gnome bug?

AFAIK, this is a gnome bug.
Moreover there is a regression from 2.14 to 2.16 in that you cannot read remote music from smb shares from now on. A bug as been filled at gnome bugzilla.

this is still a bug in 2.19, I suggest you report a bug upstream and paste the link here.

No updates from original poster in over 6 months. If this is still an issue with Gnome 2.20, please don't hesitate to reopen this bug with the information requested by Gilles.
