looking at the offending tests, i'd say its a buggy test and would recommend dropping maketest for this particular module

Actually I'm going to go ahead and mark this as closed. This is a bug in the test in 0.2901 and is fixed in 0.30 (http://search.cpan.org/src/DROLSKY/DateTime-0.30/Changes notes the fix in the infinite test). You can either ~arch install 0.30 or wait another 27 days when i can unmask it :)
