Hello, after emerging sys-apps/baselayout-1.12.0_pre14-r1 I noticed that I get a "usage" message just before the machine reboots after a "shutdown -r now". The machine reboots nevertheless, probably because it falls back to "/sbin/reboot -f". I changed /etc/init.d/reboot.sh to #/sbin/reboot -idpk /sbin/reboot -idp as in later versions. Removing the -k parameter solved the problem. The -k parameter is not documented in the man page. I'm not sure about the -p parameter. It is not documented for /sbin/reboot. For /sbin/halt it means to power-off the machine which makes no sense on a reboot. I'm running sys-apps/sysvinit-2.86. Regards, Christian.
thats what you get for mixing stable with unstable KEYWORDS :P
