xmms-themes depends on xmms and installs the skins in xmms skins dir bmp-themes depends on beep-media-player and installs the skins in bmp skins dir and there's none for audacious. Also audacious and bmp ebuilds support symlinking xmms skins. But I suggest another way Let there be a main xmms-themes ebuild which has xmms bmp and audacious which installs the skins a place other than skin dirs of these and let the use flags determine the dependencies and and symlinking. This way portage will not fill with theme ebuilds for players that support xmms/winamp skins

no this won't make any sense... if you want skins for audacious open a bug assigned to audacious maintainer requesting that. xmms-skins will only support xmms.
