Well, the summary says it all. Smart Package Manager is missing from portage.

I know you think it is not very usefull in gentoo, but I can think of some usage cases where you mix tools like rpm and portage etc. And we could even push smart to support ebuilds...

Well, I think it is not our job to decide how it would be usefull even because portage should have all packages out there. :)

No progress here for 1 year; closing WONTFIX. Feel free to reopen with an
ebuild.
