Everygui is an application that provides a way to quickly build a GUI for any command line program. It comes with some predefined templates and a designer to build more. I just created this ebuild for everygui. It runs fine for me, although I'd still consider it fairly early in my testing.

Ebuild + patch work for me. Everygui is a great and very useful application. But the "Program Info" dialog in "egdesign" does not work (dialog disappears immediately and leaves the main window hanging with no response).
